as off 2:26pm pst time michael jackson died and now the torch has been passed to prince..ironic that 25 years yesterday purple rain was released and jackson dies on that day..add both numbers and they add to the number 50....prince has never changed his music for anyone and yes he is private,eccentric but thats just him...for the time we have with him lets enjot the music,man that he is....

Musically Prince always WAS and IS his own 'commander-in-chief.' Jacko was globally more POPULAR, but musically? Hmmm don't think so. To say a torch has been passed is an insult to Prince and all he has achieved up til now. It suggest that Jacko has had some major influence on Prince and now it's time for Prince to take over from a 'mentor'. If anything, that person to take over from Jacko is someone like Timberlake.

Jackson had his thing, Prince has his. There is NO torch to be passed to Prince.
