Paisley Park celebrations Paisley Park celebrations in the early 2000s.Quick question for all of you who were lucky enough to go. Was Paisley Park what U thought it would be? I mean was it grand how did it feel ,how long were the tours, what was the vibe like? Was it as big as it looks? I've seen pics but I was unable to attend back then.Thought about takin a trip up to minneapolis just to visit around and take a few pics in front of the Park. sounds crazy I know ,I'm just a fan .

Smaller then I thought. Was great dancing in the two sound stages. Best parts were seeing the Studios (Loved Studio C), touching the guitars and motorcycles, checking out the workshop, and most of all: Seeing the inside of The Vault (the door was open and we could look in).
The Miles Davis paintings were kewl too, as was the harp and the freaky chair. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Still it's nice to know, when our bodies wear out, we can get another -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

I thought it was big...big as I expected. Seeing and being in the actual studios was really un-fucking-believable! being in any of the rooms/hallways/stairwells was awesome..it was just so weird to be there, and see Prince here and there. I don't really recall the length of time for the tours..they were pretty long. I had good vibes mostly, I hear some didn't...I heard some stories of bitchy tour guides, but mine weren't.
I went to all 3 and each time had a different vibe. All pretty good though. Lots of waiting in line, milling about too. MPLS in early June is HOT like 90's everyday, long walks from parking a mile away, and the yummy yummy smell of cookies in the wee hours of the morning. why? because down the road across the street is the Pilsbury (I think it's pilsbury) factory...where they must make all kinds of pilsbury goodies. Lots and Lots of interesting people from all over the world. Except for the celebrations, Paisley seemed....empty to me, I think the place was relatively quiet, and empty. "not a fan" yeah...ok

Good Friday of 2001...It was like a ghost town. I looked in the front window.
I left a little yellow bunny and a glow in the dark egg under the bushes. I took a stone from the parking lot. I still have it... "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...
