When i was traveling ... this is a couple of years ago ... in a foreign country ... i was in a dance club ... and requested Prince ... they played a dance version of this song ... it was awesome ... anyone have any info on this ... !!?? was it a 12" !!?? or just released overseas !!?? have never seen it in Prince sites/ebay /etc ...

It's probably a white label, not authorized by Prince. There are hundreds of white label remixes of Prince songs, but they're usually the popular songs like When Doves Cry and Kiss. I'd love to hear the Strange Relationship remix that you mentioned!
