thedance said: okay, Warner called "Love Symbol" album... [Edited 6/21/09 8:16am] Ahhhh, see....that´s the one. Still doesn´t mean that that is really the album´s title but WB naming it Love Symbol is something different than , say, Uptown or Controvery fanzines naming it Love Symbol. PEACH was never intended for the Love Symbol album.. aka. it was included on The Hits 2 and The Hits/ B-sides. [Edited 6/21/09 8:11am] Read my post again. I never said that Peach was intended for that album. But My Name Is Prince was off that album, and the Peach single has that song as a b-side, and the 45 single says "taken from the album Love Symbol". That, IMO, makes the title Love Symbol at least semi-legit, considering that it is an officially released single by Warner Bros. Technically, you never mentioned that you were reading the B-side song from the single, or referring to "My Name Is Prince" specifically, in your original argument. It's clear now with TheDance posting the pic though.

It´s not that crucial though, I have to go out and get some sunshine now.I find your comment a bit confusing but maybe that´s just me. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Have you never seen the fold out of the Peach 2-disk maxi single? It is rather suggestive.

I was a little confused like Ernest, cuz I thought you were talking about the a-side Peach, but now I see you meant the b-side My Name Is Prince, but good observation never the less from you KoolEaze, I have this cd-single, but I never notised - or at least I don't remember about this - the credits about the album being called the "Love Symbol" album. I felt KoolEaze wasn't clear and meant that "Peach" was from the album. I was trying to let him realize that it wasn't clear at first as to what he was referring to. I KNEW it had to be whatever the B_side was for the single he had in his possession.

Just for the record, WB never called the album "love symbol" either.
It's just an error made by the designer (that wasn't spotted before printing) and it only appeared on the European release of Peach. Oh, and here's the original title for the album... (before the 'name change' to "") [Edited 6/21/09 10:45am]

I just checked my "letitgo" 12" single, made in Germany:
Also available the video "3 Chains O' Gold" with clips from the last symbol album & unreleased performances & interviews. [Edited 6/21/09 11:55am]

Seems like the German division of WB didn't have a copy of the ""
symbol to use in their artwork and couldn't be bothered to put in the effort to get hold of one then!
