Phil

the4 instrumental intro to Nightown is fucking amazing anyway..

much better than the aftershow It aint over disc i think...

i kinda wish he would showcase these improvised instrumental jams, that are as aggresive as the nightown one, or the small club one more.

people would really dig this. it sounds "out" there u know?

really alien music. but so damn goood...

I was at The Marquee (shame it wasn't NYC!) and it was SUPERB! A stunning version of 'Sign...' & 'Automatic' to boot.
My first-ever Aftershow, too.

NightTown sounds out of this world. It's guitar onslaught
beginning to end. It's everything one could wish for in a
Prince guitar album and then some. Incredible.

And I agree with Phil; the instrumental intro is amazing,
hard driven and truly great.

The only thing that Le Bataclan has that Nighttown misses IMO is Prince jamming on the bass.
Haven't heard the Marquee aftershow yet.

I was at both NYC and Buffalo and they were tight! An obvious difference is the guests in NYC that were not in Buffalo. This is good and bad as I would rather see Prince then Musiq and Doug E. Fresh...although I really wasn't bothered by them per say. On the contrary,I enjoyed George Clinton, Alicia Keys, Q-Tip.

The best part about both these shows...esp. Buffalo...was the comfort level at these particular aftershows. No shoving and pushing near the front, easy and quick access to the bar/bathroom, lots of room to just chill in the back in you wanted, friendly people all over.

That + the music made these experiences unforgettable.

The NYC one was the shiiit! nod
And like Divo02 said, it was a very chill atmosphere in there.
I liked how close I was to Prince in comparison 2 where I was at when we were at Avery Fisher Hall.
sigh
It's all so grand...Prince's World of Music.
sigh
peace & wildsign
