Thieves In The Temple Live D&P Tour.. Show Love Stunning my jaw is melted onto the floor and I belive in the healing power of music....Scuse the gushing just had to put it out there.
The version of thieves in the temple played live on the D&P tour is one of the most magnificent peices of music ever recorded. I've listened to recordings from three difrent nights in a row (including Arabic Intro). Two were soundboard and the organ stabs in the left ear during the outro with IT and the guitar solo are just stunning. The delicacy and conflicting raw screaming with which this is performed blows me away every time. Sometimes with all the complaining about Prince (not saying there not valid comments) It's worth remembering something this stunning would be some artists masterpiece and Prince just leaves multiple performances sitting in a vault The only thing I would really like to know about Prince is how he views these old performances and whether he's really had time to appreciate what an amazing bar raising truly beautiful in every sense of the word piece of music he has made. I only ask whether Prince does because the rest of the amazing musicians in his then band probably do know Anybody agree....or disagree (i'm all for freedom of speach) PS: His vocal performance has never been better than this, I'm close to saying vocal performance full stop has never been better than this | |
