Prince's Money..."$"

I listened to the song, "$," again this morning.

I have to admit that Prince is very cute when he sings, "What difference does it make who's got the most bank, it's just ink and chlorophyl."

Well...Let's face it, that's a wad of "Purple Bull."

"Rich in Personality," only gets you so far in a jalopy, driving back and forth 2 the garage for fixin'. Living off coffee, Pepsi, and Spaghetti is not fun anymore. I'm trying to look nice in high school T-shirts and I'm lucky if I get a paper perfume template in the mail to stick in my bra.

So it dawns on me this morning, if I had a little bottle of ink, and a little bottle of chlorophyl, it would not work as a passport at any airport to get me around the world. It wouldn't even buy me a fancy salad at any luxury resort.

So this is another "gag," lyric of Prince's, where the music makes me pretend that I'm singing and dancing about the truth, when in all honesty, "Ink and Chlorophyl," make every bit of damn difference.

All I know is somebody's driving somebody to the cleaners, and of course I still love this song. "$," is highly appreciated by me. razz

There isn't enough time in the world to explain why this thread (and any other thread you've ever made and will make) is bullshit

Okay, I guess I'm exaggerating a little bit, I still have some "Mambo," left in my bottle, and My car hasn't broken down since February, and I had some Breyer's ice cream, and I bought a new yellow tank top, and some shoes. cool

Interpreted correctly it doesn't mean that money means little, it means that what matters most is not money in the bank. What matters most is one's personality.

Sometimes comments shouldn't be taken literally. Another example is Kennedy's comment "Ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country." It doesn't mean that we shouldn't ask what our country can do for us, but it means that we should first ask what we can do for our country before we ask what our country can do for us.

uh oh.....if people are obsessed with getting threads locked, then all of a sudden there will be others who get obsessed with asking why people are obsessed with locking threads

perhaps all locked threads should just be sent to another new forum called "stupid thread ideas, random senseless thoughts, etc".

just an idea
