Sheila E's drum solo was so passionate it was jumping off the screen. Thats why I love Prince he gives us so many gifts.

When he slides between Cat's legs and comes up with her skirt in his mouth... We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

this film proved he doesn't need the revolution man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

http://www.amazon.ca/Prin...503&sr=8-1 I have it (this Canadian release). It's sourced from an excellent print of the original film. It also has remastered 5.1 surround-sound audio. The picture is crystal clear and has the correct aspect ratio of the theatrical release. Thanks, I've just ordered one! The few shops I've seen it in still ask about £20 for it! I know I hold you too tight, but I just can't seem to get close enough

Thanks to this thread I went and ordered a copy of the Canadian version too! Can't WAIT to get it but the estimated date of delivery is July 20th .. (I'm in Europe).. will probably even have my Lotusflower t-shirt by then! Plus I'll have to hack my dvd recorder to watch it but dammit if I have to hack it to pieces with a hatchet I'll do it!!! I LOVE this concert film! Got it on the copied-straight-from-VHS dvd ages ago but it just doesn't do it justice.

Your PC probably WILL play the DVD. Sadly, I've never seen the concert film . Besides the music, is there any real plot to it?

There is a slight storyline about Cat having problems with her boyfriend, and Prince enters her life, creating a romantic triangle. This drama plays out in the musical sequences.

There is a slight storyline about Cat having problems with her boyfriend, and Prince enters her life, creating a romantic triangle. This drama plays out in the musical sequences. Yeah. The story-line consists of very short snippets of dialog between the band members and shots of a lightning ball. In my opinion, the SOTT stage set was his best look for a concert tour, color-wise and through the use of eclectic props and signage. Many of the songs surpass the actual studio tracks. I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man and especially the gospel-rock of Forever In My Life are stellar performances. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

This movie captures Prince and his music so much better than any album, photo, interview or book ever could.
If you wanted to relay what was so great about Prince & Sign o' The Times, this is it. It would have been so cool if he would have done something like this for all his albums. The Parade stuff online is equally awesome.
