Any tapes of Prince singing as kid growing up? I'm saying around the age when he was in Elementary and Jr High.

And singing as a kid myself, Winning a talent show singing MJ's "I Want You Back". So I could just see P tearing it up as a child! I know he had a high school band I believe. The earliest thing I've seen of P on video was him on American Bandstand with Dick Clark. |

I would love to see what young Prince performang as a kid was like. I have never seen a tape of anything earlier than the Dick Clark thing too. As far as I know, none have surfaced. There are pics of him playing a piano as a child. There are also pics floating around of him when he was in a band early on and playing keyboards during weddings in the 70s.
I don't know if Prince's family had a video camera. You will find that a lot of black kids that grew up in the 50s and 60s tend to not have video cameras. That was not a necessity. The only reason why we have footage of MJ is because Motown always recorded their auditions for Berry to review. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-
