prince's first real rock and band effort-The Rebels It was year 1979 and prince wanted to make off project with him being only a band member,and the album cover would only have siluetes of Andre,Gayle,Bobby Z,Matt Fink.
They recorded for 12 days and made 7 rock oriented songs. the project was eventually shelved feeling it sounded a bit generic . can we disscus the Rebels? | |

It's nice talking about music in this forum, but...
you do not need to bump your thread, to get responses on the PM&M "music" forum, you simply got to crazy it up a little. You need to add some    and end every post with one of these

I have it & it is an interesting listen. It's almost as if Prince & Kiss had a baby it would sound like this. The guitar mix is reminiscent of Boston if you can believe.
He doesn't sing lead on any of the trax if my memory serves me but you can clearly hear him doing background vox. |

Hard to get and You are on The Work, I also have the Work It boots and on there I have You Hard To Get/Loving You (they're the same, although loving you is about 20 seconds longer) Disco Away Thrill You or Kill You Too Long What are the other 2 tracks? The other songs on the same disc as these aren't really all that guitar orientated. | |
