Fantasy: Prince wants U to record! Now what? OK, here's a fun one...
Suppose Prince wants you to record an album. You've got, say, 10 songs to select for your debut CD. Which do you pick? And what goes on your album cover? You may pick your own original pieces, stuff Prince has done or covers from some other artists. Be creative. I'm anxious to hear what you guys say! Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I'll do my own songs, with my own cover art.
I would like him to play some solos, or backing vox though. but I DO NOT want him to touch the soundboard. stay off the soundboard Prince, you're already half deaf. | |

I'd mostly have original songs, as I myself am a singer/songwriter/composer; but I'd love 2 pay tribute 2 him by doing one or 2 of his:
I'd love 2 do my version of "Space" ('cos it's one of my all-time faves) and then perhaps one of his lesser known songs (I can't think of just one now...there's so many good ones!). The cover art wouldn't be me...I think that would be 2 clichéd and expected 4 a debut (it would have 2 be very out there if it were my mug on there!). I'd love 2 have some ethereal artist's work á la Around The World In A Day/The Rainbow Children...or then I'd go á la George Michael and have a close up of a woman's body underneath black sating sheets. The title...I'm still working on that one!  It'd be lovely, though... | |

I'd want him 2 produce 4 trax for me(1-ballad & duet with him. 2-funky outtake from one the early shit. 3-Mellow piece and 4-Instrumental jazz # with me o the piano+rhodes)

I had a wacko dream the other night that prince n i recorded 2gether...
i dreamt it was round the 1999 era...n prince came in with a cassette tape...he was wearin that purple coat like he always did back then... i dreamt i was his sound engineer... he puts the tape in... and out comes a reworked version of I WANNA BE YOUR LOVER...with jazzy ITS GONNA BE A BEAUTIFUL NIGHT-esque piano work...sounds fantastic... he then asks me...hows the song... i say its brilliant... then in typical fashion...he rips the tape out n runs out the studio... before i can catch him he diappears into a limo... some dream it was... he oughta try that reworked version... Ecnirp84 "girl, i gotta tell ya. that suit look like a piece of GOOD GOD wrapped up with some HAVE MERCY with a side of MMMMMPHH!!!!' - will smith. | |
