That interviewer has always sounded like Chris Moon to me.

The were rumors about Prince's parents race. Some spread by Prince himself. Prince told some small lies in that interview. Like his age. Prince said he was 20, when acually he was 22. Prince's manager agreed that Prince tell some lies to keep his real life private.. Like his race and age. Prince's parents like most African Americans have different races in their genes down the line but they course considered themselfs to be African American.

I thought Prince was bi-racial, but both his parents are black. It was a myth from the Purple Rain movie.

Prince's mother look like a light skinned african american to me! Page 74 first top left picture. That is his stepfather in that picture.

Another reason why I almost know for certain it was Moon is because I highly doubt Prince would have done this recorded interview with a stranger at that time. And with him knowing Moon very well, I guess he was comfortable. Gosh, I wish there was video of this.....

I suspect theres some dormant white blood there from Plantation mulattoes 5 or 6 generations back, otherwises he s a light skin black, just because hes not jet black with a huge afro and 5cm thick lips dosen't mean hes not black. This race thing comes up far 2 much, but anyway...

It is reported that Prince does have some Italian blood, but he also likely does have anglo ("white") blood as well.

If he does have some Italian ancestry, it would most likely have 2 from a Grandparent, because a Great Grandparent would likely be before the Italian immigration experience in America.
