What rapper should cover Bob George?

I'm a big hip-hop fan and I love the track "Bob George." What rappers do y'all think could do this song justice???

Honestly?? None.

But I think if Andre 3000 did it and made a video, it would be wild and funny as hell! lol

Another who I'd like to see do it, just out of curiosity to see what he'd do with it, would be Jay-Z. He'd try to be all cool and suave about it. It would wind up corny I'm sure, but I'd just like to see him make a fool out of himself with it.

Maybe that's Beyonce hate talkin'! wink

I'd like to see Ice Cube, 50 Cent, or Snoop do a gangsta version of it.

Well the weird thing is it's not really a rapped song, more like a spoken word thing.... I don't think Prince really "got" rap when he made this song

But as far as modern day renditions of it, like Mantua said, Andre 3k could do it well, and Kanye would too because he would go all out with the effects etc and really make it probably a trippy kinda song.

If Andre 3000 did a cover of this, it would probably be a hit. It wouldn't be any better than the original though.

But listen to the lyrics, it's gangsta.

Nothing would be better than the original, but I would love to see someone like T.I. cover it and give it a dirty south twist.

yea but for it to be able to be rapped, it needs a lot more lyrics to fill in the empty spots

I would hardly call Bob George a classic. It's a novelty song off one of his most obscure albums.

lol Ice T would be cool, I rather see a video of the song directed by Prince with Ice T Cat and Allen/Eric Leeds as the cops

I'd hate 2 hear a remake of it

Afaik, this song has only been covered once: on a 1989 release by a band who covered all songs of the Black Album, so including Bob George.

At least the ones who are bragging about their fat "bling" and their "bitches" and "hos" and spanking their asses, yes. They rape music to propagate their stupid, primitive world view, although the outcome hardly ever can be called "music" anyway.

Still, there is some good hip-hop out there, too. Prince can have a go at it without sounding dumb and "I'm the baddest of all gangsta niggas and I'm gonna spank yo mommas ass twice!"-like.
