I've been listening to my entire Prince collection (extensive as hell but not 100% complete), in order, on headphones for the past couple of weeks. A couple of albums sound and jump a lot better than I remembered them sounding and jumping - Come and Symbol, for example - but more than that I've been discovering short bits or portions or tiny details of songs I really dig in songs I'd forgotten about, never really cared for, etc etc. For example: the 'sunshine' bit in Dark and one magnificent 'Oh yeah' in 3rd Eye.

Anybody else?

I feel you. I have actually made my own edited versions of Come (edited out all the slurping , and Joint 2 Joint (edited out the second half).

There are little pieces in a lot of songs that are lovable.

Honestly, everyother thing that Prince sings in his lyrics seems to have a unique flare.
