Choclate Box and Dance 4 Me shouldve been Singles I think these 2 tracks are the most accesible and wouldve really lifted the album, 2 of my mates who dont like Prince thought they were great catchy tunes, im sorry but the guy had piss poor singles choices...i mean Amo..watever the fuck it was called off 3121 was a terrible song IMO, I just wish he had released them 2 songs as singles...anyway what do u guys think? I don't like chocolate box, and I think his lyrics and vocals are silly. Although much of what's on radio now is silly, so it shouldn't be a determining factor in the song's success
I do like the instrumental parts of chocolate box though. I just don't think it's a great, sure hit single. Dance 4 Me could have been pretty popular with the right promotion. It's all about press and not content really. Prince always has some good material with each release, but never any good press.

I though Chocolate Box was a single.
There was a video, wasn't it a single? "Hyperactive when I was small, Hyperactive now I'm grown, Hyperactive 'till I'm dead and gone"

I really like both of these songs, but unless you're a huge fan of 80's music and you know that these tracks are done as throw backs, they don't make much sense or sound very good "Prince doesn't have verbal diarrhea, he has studio diarrhea...." Allen Leeds

Both songs have a catchy tune, great to dance 2. Yes, although I think Dance 4 Me would be better received at large.

There's very little point releasing singles when you are not backed up by a huge multinational company that's willing to do all the whoring for you in order to get those tunes played in the radio.

and even THAT doesn't get him on the radio. People, they arent the songs...that isnt the reason Prince gets no air play on radio. He's bucked the 'record industry' for years, therefore blackballing himself from 'Radio'. No matter how good or how great a Prince song is today it will never see the light of day on popular radio.... Radio is a 'vehicle' that drives artists and albums, Prince views this as he doesnt need this 'promotion', he has a *popular website*. Can't say I blame him for those who shelled out 77.00 for 3 CD's and a FREE TSHIRT. Scammed once again. GMAN
