one nite alone tour instrumentals

instrumental jam played at londons marqee club and instrumental jam from rotterdame aftershow 2002 were those prince compositions or did he include compositions of other artist???

london jam sounds like steve wonders contusion
and rotterdame contains dance electric

like 2121 from indigo nights contains some evergreen jazz and pop melodies played at the beginning instrumental intro from london 2002 markee have james brown-payback

what langeblue is saying, is that all of the instrumentals that are not
obvious covers, were improvised on the spot.

the instrumentals on the "c-note" album were recorded during the same
tour, during soundchecks. no one knows to what level they might have
been rehearsed or arranged by prince and the band before that time but
it seems to be agreed upon that they are improvised instrumentals.

i've wondered about some of those other instrumentals from that tour
as well. especially since it's almost impossible to know every single
jazz or funk track that they could be incorporating in these jams.

but from the way they flow and are structured it's a safe bet that for
the most part they're made up by the band on the spot.

which is all the more credit to one of his best bands ever bow
