why not a 3rd npgmc album (choc invasion/slaughterhouse) there's enough material left to put together 1 more album. since he
spread most of it out over 2 discs though the material that is left can be considered a bit weak i guess. but why didn't he just throw one or two "new" songs in there and release 3 albums, which would include all the npgmc songs from a particula era (thus excluding the old stuff like "mad" and "splash"). you could say that: 01. cybersingle 02. van gogh 03. madrid 2 chicago 04. breathe 05. when will we b paid? 06. emanstrumental 07. my medallion 08. purple house 09. jukebox with a heartbeat 10. one song those would make up a nice enough album. i'm tempted to put them together in a floder and just give it a name so that i can include those songs in my prince official releases folder instead of having to filed them as the "non album songs" and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

so where would u put glass cutter? man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

glass cutter wasn't released until 2002 or perhaps even later, i can't remember. if i could include glass cutter, that would mean songs like: magnificent, silver tongue and united states of division would also be possible inclusions. but that's too far ahead of the material i'm including here. just like "funky design" and "mad" are too 'old' to include here imo. i've been racking my brain but i truly can't think of any other songs released during this period of time. perhaps "habibi", which was smack in the middle of this period but i hate that 'thing', don't even consider it a song. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

i know. although "when will we b paid?" is probably his best cover ever. that song is absolute perfection. it outshines most things 1999-2000. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

You forget that the HIGH album was released a song or two at a time. Why not configure that first, then compile everything else during NPGMC days and make the other two. You'd be able to eek out enough crap for another two albums after that I think.

anywho, i thought it was agreed upon by now that high was never finalized and never even came to the stage of test pressings or tracklists. so what would have to be included? i know the rumored tracklists but those have since been proven to be fakes. i was a member of all the npgmc incarnations so i know that these songs were all released semi at the same time, or at least they were all put to tape during 1 or 2 sessions spanning from late 99 till mid 2000 iirc. in essence, all that material could be piled up on 2 long albums but it's been separated by prince onto the two released album, which range from a very respectable ok (chocolate invasion) to laughable (slaughterhouse). so the logical step would be to make 1 more album, an album that would be even more patchy and mediocre than "slaughterhouse" and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Ditch "Make it funky" and put in the live cut of "Return of the Bump Squad" instead. THAT is a hot trio of songs.

I thought the songs from HIGH were pretty much known, but the track list is what was kept quiet by Prince after the fact, solely due to people compiling and bootlegging it out. I don't know if a true track list ever emerged or not for HIGH. I've seen a few incarnations of it here and there.

"purple house" was, i think recorded in 1999, same goes for One Song. so that's only a 1 year gap. the gap being even smaller if you include songs like CyberSingle, as they were released at the very beginning of the 1st npgmc as a free download single irrc. aaaaanyway, i didn't make this thread to defend my songchoices or to belittle other people's ideas. i just wanted to know if anyone can remember any other songs from this era, either on compilations outside of the npgmc. like colaborations or soundtrack songs etc so perhaps something more could be included on a tracklist like this and true love lives on lollipops and crisps
