Yet, other folk can look and be equally weird, and it's all cool... The truth of the matter is that art, all art, should be about mentorship and helping to develop younger artists. This could be an opportunity for Prince or people who like Prince to encourage a young artist to enhance or expand his musical or creative range, but, for some reason, most of the people on this thread have assumed that Li'l Wayne is innately incapable of truly enjoying Prince's work or growing as an artist. I have testified in city hall and in house committees about the ability of a bill to aid or do harm in my community. And I have used poetry as a way to coordinate fundraisers for various needs and issues in my community. Is that "pride" enough for you? Thus, I prefer to use my energy to reach and teach the youth of my community rather than to engage in their wholesale destruction. I read the thread. Perhaps, you should re-read all of my post. |
