One Disc Lotus Flower/MPLSound Although I think that the Lotus Flower set appeals to us hardcore fans, I think a better marketing strategy might have been to whittle both LF and MPLSound down to just one disc, and release the more obscure stuff directly to his hardcore fans through the LotusFlow3r.com who would appreciate his more oddball efforts.
Now I know the styles don't necessarily blend that well, but Prince has mixed together totally different styles before with cool segues, so I feel there's no reason he couldn't do it again. My One Disc Lotus Flower would look like this: From the Lotus Boom Crimson and Clover Colonized Mind Feel Better, Feel Good, Feel Wonderful Chocolate Box Dance 4 Me Ol Skool Company Better w/ Time $ Dreamer Not to say that this is a more artistic selection than the released 3 disc set, just something more market oriented which would have garnered better reviews and more sales. Anybody else have any track lists? "Prince doesn't have verbal diarrhea, he has studio diarrhea...." Allen Leeds

I really think he could have made an alright album if he had consolidated all three discs...
Twelve songs at the most. If I knew Lotusflow3r and Elixir better, I'd make a list. But I couldn't really get through them :/ From MPLSound: -Dance 4 Me -Here -Ur Gonna C Me

Try listening to the whole album all the way through without skipping any tracks (I also think there's something to the peach and black podcast guys saying try it with headphones) Yeah, Here was the last song I cut from my list. The vocals on it are amazing, but I just can't see the masses taking that echoing ascending synth seriously. Lyrics on that song are absolutely first rate. I can't do it. The only thing I'd really leave off would be 77 Beverly Park. Love it all. RIP

lotusflower, the album, is fine as it is. i would, however, try to make a
single kick ass album out of the following: musicology 3121 planet earth mplsound and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

The actual song Elixer is great, and a Prince song, he has lead vocals. My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

I too think it would've been a good strategy to release it as a single disc to the public, and release the rest on his website. But releasing two Prince albums simultaneously gives the casual fans more to listen to, since they probably will not join the website.
Here's my pick for a single disc. I think it would be a really good album. The Morning After Colonized Mind Feel Good, Feel Better, Feel Wonderful Wall Of Berlin $ Dreamer Chocolate Box Dance 4 Me U're Gonna C Me Here Ol' Skool Company No More Candy 4 U But from a business standpoint I would also have included Crimson And Clover
