Happy Birthday PRINCE...the baddest and sexiest man around...yes baby you just get better with time...I am also celebrating the birthday of my son Terrell today who is 14 and very PROUD to share his birthday with you. In August 2002 I met you during the ONA tour at the sound check and told you about my son and you wanted to meet him, but he was too young at that time to attend the show. He is autistic and totally awesome and has loved you from the womb...so much so that he was determined to enter this world 2 weeks early and on your birthday, and folks were placing bets that he would be born on June 7 So unique and loving...I thank God for my son and for you as well. May you have a blessed and beautiful day full of positivity, peace and most of all LOVE.

Happy birthday, Prince. Even though you've effectively abandoned your fans, you have done enough in the past to warrant our continued affection. You are a huge portion of the soundtrack of my life. I remember dancing at a block party to "Soft and Wet"; going through orientation at Job Corps, and the guy in the doorway of my future dorm was blastin' "I Wanna Be Your Lover"; standing behind this girl (with dirty thoughts and a woody) at your concert in Jacksonville when you opened for Rick James; almost snatching my girlfriend's shoulder out of joint running to the floor when "Head" came on; going to the "Controversy" tour with Booker Williams and Freddy Burch, two good friends who have since passed on; thrilling to the bass line in "Cream" as I danced with Jackie Owens at the party on Dellwood Street; and finally, feeling vindicated for defending you to my young nieces as THE musician of the century after "Musicology" dropped. I pray that you come out of that wet-blanket religion that has ensnared your mind. God would never have given you such a gift, then instruct you to squelch it in this manner. But, that's just my opinion; I could be wrong...PEACE.
