On the Recent Tavis Smiley Show, Prince said He had a mean side.

What do you think Prince means by mean?


If I'm personally not a musician, I'm not gonna be affected by music oriented statements because I'm not going to have an opinion that would offend Prince.

As a woman, I can see that Prince would be territorial and Dominant in the relationship...Prince could probably get mean if He was protective of his lover...Prince is a man that could get jealous occasionally...like anyone can.

Hmmm i think he just means he can be a if i may say plain bitch. Sort of what you can expect when he breaks up with someone or so. Sort of being the cold dude that will take you apart or treat you like your worthless scum. We all have some of that in us. He may also just sometimes be like the way he explained larry graham was on the way to that gig:P.

Well according to past band members, he's just .....well, mean. Wendy said some days Prince was nice, and other days he was like "stand there and do your job". It's probably hard to imagine Prince as mean, to some, but in reality, past all his mystique and mystery and all that mess, he's still a poopin', peein', eat', little black man. He's still human.

Prince is angry in his music too. But even he said, there's a way to deal with that, and reconcile it at the end. Songs like "Strange Relationship", "If I Was Your Girlfriend", etc exhibit that anger, angst or discomfort you mention. At least to me they do.

I think he can be more "snotty" about things too. My two cents, but if you watch him being dismissive to Wendy and Lisa in Purple Rain when they're working on their song and he says "Can't you just get off it? I mean can't you just leave it alone?" And when Wendy plays "Let's Go Crazy" and asks if he likes that, he dismisses her, and speaks to Lisa instead. Now, although I know that's acting, he was pretty convincing in it considering none of them were seasoned thespians. Just an observation. So yeah.....he can be mean. Why WOULDN'T he be mean? He ain't suckin' lollipops and drinkin' lavendar tea 24/7.

Prince is mean! I know first hand. He hasn't invited me out to Paisley to let me have My Vault listening party. So yes he' Very Mean ha,ha,ha,lol. It's a joke my good people just havin fun on the org.

I think everyone has a mean side, but I think Prince was on his own since he was twelve, he is a self made millionaire. So I think he would expect that from others as well, to be self sufficient and not depend on him.

A lot of how you currently are has to deal with your experiences in life.

He is a perfectionist and I think that may make him mean to his bandmates when he expects a certain level of dedication.

I also heard when Mani was suing him for divorce, she wanted his purple house, he bull dozed it and put it on truck and sent it to her. This is what I don't understand about Mani, why would she sue him if she is filing for the divorce and seeing Eric??

I wouldn't call it cheating if he was not in a relationship with them. Just because he sleeps with someone doesn't mean he is in an exclusive relationship with that person. He is not monogomous.

I have no idea what Prince's issue's have been with these women, although I do know that Prince has "Love Devotion," issues. Prince is a Godly man that maybe fallen and gotten back up like we all have. Making the right decision in his last marriage is what he is currently exploring.

Love can be love...although how full and grand is the heartfelt feeling and for how long? Trust me on this one. I belong to Prince, My Soul knows him from a long long time ago.
