aren't u a little late 2 the party? shoe was on planet earth 2 years ago and the video was released last year

..i like the way prince swicted up sum words in that version..somewhere here on earth..plus i like the L-I-V-E feel 2 the emotion..

But yes, it could have been a single. Certainly a strong enough song (stronger than "Call My Name"), and had a lovely video (better than "Call My Name").

The best thing about the video is his light-up tennis shoes at the end as he walks off. It's a bit like a neon light saying "Hip condition" "Hip condition".

Might also give new meaning to the term "So Hip It Hurts". HA!

The director also posted a hq mov file on his site as part of his portfolio (as well as Chelsea Rodgers) and Prince made him pull them down.

I grabbed those files way back when and still have them on my AppleTV. I think once the news hit that he had posted them and people flooded his site, he removed them almost as quickly.

Nice picture. I do believe "Somewhere Here On Earth," would make a good single. Even though the song is a little sad. When anyone hears it, they are gonna miss the person they love if they aren't hand in hand.

Radio wouldn't play SHOE (at least here in the States). He did right by releasing "Future Baby Mama". It was radio friendly and the average listener loved the term "Future Baby Mama".

BET Played the video about once aday for almost 2 months....
