I LOVE that song, a #1 hit for Exile, who later became a HUGE country act in the 80's. I never heard a similarity in them and Prince, sorry. Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for. | |

I too have ALWAYS loved this song. And I don't doubt P didn't dig it either. P dug a lot of stuff. Moreso than I think his fans give him credit for. But do I hear where P bit off of something from this? Nah...This is standard stuff from acts in the mid to late 70's...Many a folk were blending rock with a cool funk bassline. Throw in a cool synth riff above it all and u have what is called a "formula". One that worked well on the radio back then that translated into sales.
