Since there is already a thread about a need for "alleged" hip surgery, could it be his interest has waned on the project because physically he is just not up to the wear and tear of it all? Can you imagine when the passion of his music washes over him on stage and he can't move like he wants? I see him doing his best to manage it but it has to be frustrating. All that said he does bore easily too when things do not go his way. | |

 This is a 51 year old man with painful hips, a medical problem. He has the luxury after all of these years in the music business to do what he wants, when he wants.Touring is very taxing on the body and mind. Let's call it semi-retired. He has earned it. I get it. I am close to his age and I have had 2 knee operations. I have to travel in my work. I wish I could do what I want when I want, but I live in the real everyday working world. | |

I think the set has a few more singles on it but unfortunately without a bit of momentum the time will soon be passing. I would have thought a second single would have been lifted by now (especially as the clip for Chocolate Box had TBC at the end).

I think that he's happy with the progress of the release so far. It's sold quite a few copies (must be platinum already). Also, he's had the few Leno shows, making other appearances here and there. What's crazy is that he's probably already meditating on his next project. | |

GMAN ----- I wish some of you would stop smoking crack. CDs are not selling in large volumes for anyone right now. For an older artist to have a cd out that is independent with little promotion and only available at one store P is doing well. No one that is 51 years old is going to be on top of the charts and if you work independently, you have no chance at mainstream radio airplay. None, nada in plain English it is not going to happen. I also think as several others have mentioned that P might be either semi-retired or dealing with health issues. Whatever the case since he decided not to promote the CD he must be okay with the sales results. | |
