Yet more thoughts on One Nite Alone Live

I just wanna discuss both favorite things about it and things that could be improved. I think we can all pretty much agree that it's an excellent live document and we should be thankful for such a spledid presentation and production...

My absolute favorite tracks would include Xenophobia (an instrumental beast), Extraordinary (love that long bridge!), Strange Relationship (an excellent "grown up for 2002" rendition), The Everlasting Now (it doesn't get much more fun than that), Anna Stesia, Joy in Repetition (probably the best guitar playing on the whole set), and Dorothy Parker (the best keyboard playing on the whole set). All of the soloing in the set is remarkable.

As far as improvements, my only thought is that two or three tracks could be added on each CD. If he didn't want covers on it, he could still put on Calhoun Square, Paisley Park, or Beautiful Strange on the aftershow CD, and maybe a couple of others for the first two disks. It would be great if for year 3 of the club, one of the CDs that's offered would be a fourth disk from the ONA Live European tour. It could include Housequake, Empty Room, Sign of the Times, and other songs he added/changed to the set over there. That would really make a complete overview of the tour and make huge inroads on his live shows as a whole.

What do you think?

It would be really great if he released a DVD of a European show. For retail!

I would be happy if I got the chance to hear that amazing version of Sign O The Times again. My high point from the European leg of the tour.
