That was a fun read. From what I've seen, it seems that a lot of males had far more problems with Prince's persona than us ladies did. I never went through that kind of heart wrenching drama just because I love Prince. I got some snickers and strange looks and still do but I really couldn't care less. I loved him for his individuality and genius, and wasn't afraid to let folks know how I felt (and still do). http://prince.org/msg/105/307615

too white to be considered black?
And how can a guy who is considered to fuck his sister, be called 'gay'? Doesnt that make him a heterosexual?.... albeit pervert... lol What about the useless swearing of the guy who wrote this? [Edited 6/4/09 19:42pm]

For your information, Ms. Richardson, he won't be free of dealing with people like me until his motherfucking ass retires, once and for all!! Until then...he can get bent and he can do it over YOU for all that it matters to me...so whatever! I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

Great post and to the point- P has always done what he wants and had the courage to allow us to see and follow his journey into the discovery of (him) self. Yeah he went through phases, I (a staunch P defender) even had to laugh at his attempts to rap & be ganster (early or mid 90's- sorry dont recall exact date) because he was so P throughout- lacy doo-rags and the undeniable P cut/lines on his clothes... But, in the face of much criticism P did/does something I admire- be true to himself and not worrying about what others think.

The first part of the post was really uncomfortable for me to read, but I got a lump in my throat when he started talking about how his perceptions changed when he had a daughter.
Really bless all the people who don't give a fuck, and not just young era Prince. And star this post as story about a man transforming his own homophobia. Awesome.
