What Guitar is this? Sorry I don't have a pic.But what was that white guitar Prince used sparsely during 88/89 era? It was a weird square shaped type deal and had a really cool sound .Seen in the C&D booklet. Peace,carmy | |

I guess that guitar is kind of cool, but I'm not crazy about it, I think the cloudz and the arrowz are so much nicer, although to a guitar player, the sound could make all of the difference...I wonder what Prince calls this one...I'd call it, "Put it back in the box from the triangular place it came from." ... If I remember correctly this guitar was a gift of German Duchess Fürstin Gloria von Thurn und Taxis. She used to be some kind of IT girl in the late 80s, married to a rich aristocrat. After his death she changed dramatically and is now a devout Catholic who loves to criticize people for sex outside of marriage and she has some really weird ideas about AIDS and Africans. She was a bit like Paris Hilton in the 80s but now she´s like Anakin Skywalker on the darkside and is notoriously famous for her rants on TV. The guitar sounds nice though. I talked to the luthier that repaired Prince's Auerswald, and he said the guitar was a bitch to play because the action was so high, and not adjustable due to the design. This may have been why Prince didn't play it beyond the Nude Tour.
Prince also had a matching bass. Auerswald made the Symbol guitars as well. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |
