He was only on The Tonight Show a few days ago, so he's probably still in L.A. doing whatever he does to fill his days (recording I hope) Just somewhere in the middle,

He was on The Tonight Show for Jay, not to promote an album. Jay never mentioned any tour or record or anything by Prince; just that he was a friend of the show. When Sarah MacLachlan was on the day prior, Jay only mentioned her greatest hits album, and she still sang an older song. People seem to forget that Jay's last week was his favorite people; it was almost like a command performance. It wasn't just Prince booking a gig to promote his latest project. It was a goodbye moment. And if it weren't for THAT, Prince would still be prancing around L.A. doing whatever he does. Although he did say on Tavis that he'd "be home soon" to Minneapolis. | |
