"Good Love," is playing now in light of the clock just striking midnight and it being Prince's 51st Birthday.
In the Heat of the night, Prince knows what 2 do. Cherry Pie, Apple Kisses, everything is cool. These words and all of the girl's background vocals, the whole song is just irresistably, "Cute." Nah I dont like it think he made teh right choice by replacing it with Adore (my fave prince song) I think crucial sounds cheesey and adore is more sophisticated lyrically and far more timeless  Everybody's looking 4 the ladder

I always loved this song, but the part that makes me a bit uncomfortable is when he says
"Prisoner in love with the opposite gender, I ain't sayin' you're better baby, I ain't sayin' you're not" What's that supposed to mean? Is Prince conflicted here with whether or not being in love with a woman is better than being in love with a man? I love the song tremendously... both the sax and the guitar version (prob the guitar version a little bit more), but that line just leaves a bad taste in my brain. The public is squeezin' you kiddo. You'd better kick ass on your next album or else! |

Don't forget it is the guitar version on Crystal Ball, it's just that it's the slightly shorter guitar solo version...  Just somewhere in the middle,

I love it, too and put it in my all-time top 10 favorite Prince songs. Not #1 with me right now, but it was for awhile. And I like the sax boot better than the Crystal Ball version. | |

I can't decide between the sax and guitar versions. I like 'em both.
