If you use iTunes and put a .wma onto an iPod, it automatically changes the format to .mp3 (iTunes doesn't do .wma). Maybe that's why you have an .mp3? All the 2004 downloads I have are .wma w/DRM. I know, right? Prince seems to have a love/hate relationship with the internet, as well as a scorching case of ADD. Bad combination for hard-core fans that have been following his off-the-cuff "hints/promises" for so many years and aborted projects. We had a discussion about the Crystal Ball II project yesterday, where fans did get to pick songs for the never-realized 2000/2001 era CD set.
