Lovesexy tour dvd.....

will this, Prince's best tour ever be offically released on dvd....my vhs is worn out....amazing from start to finish smile are there some contractual things not allowing it's release...

go and copy your own VHS to HDD and DVD asap!

lovesexy tour is available on 1 DVD (the two parts together) and is indeed an amazing tour. there are channels where you can get dvd's from all of his tours.

I wondered if the Dortmund show was ever really worked on and put on a DVD by fans? The VHS I still have has sound in one channel for most of the first act. It doesn't open up until act II to both left and right channels. I'd like to eventually track down a better copy. It's the one tour I saw, and still love it.

No it wasn't. It was released on VHS or Laser Disc.

As with anything there are a hundered crappy versions which are straight-rips from the VHS, and some better Laser Disc rips.
However should anyone be after a DVDR of it, I'd say the Fullasoul version is the best as it has been sourced from one of the original European broadcasts. It has the complete Cross The Line / Intermission interlude which was edited out of the official release, and has numerous camera angles which were replaced for the official release. It really is a thing of great beauty.

Its best to make one yourself.
I made one thats encoded in surround sound and remastered myself and its beautiful.

I thought it was one (2) of those big yellow discs wich were Video CD's. sorry.
