That's a tough one. I love my Blue Cloud, but I can't say I'd never part with it. Probably just all the original CDs and vinyl LPs/EPs that I have. I'm fond of my silver CD bootleg collection, too. Ticket stubs. Memories. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I love my purple vinyl. All the purple vinyl I have is:
Purple Rain album "Purple Rain" 12" single "Purple Rain" 7" single "Purple Rain" 12" promo single (album/edit versions) "When Doves Cry" 7" promo single Also, on a different color purple vinyl is the "1999: New Master" 12" single, with all the mixes, in a white sleeve with a sticker on the sleeve that is the CD single cover, for the most part. I don't have a lot of boot DVDs, but I have acquired certain videos that are now on my computer and my AppleTV, filling in gaps of stuff I was missing or lost from the 90's. I also have two cut outs of Prince. It's where a photo shop takes a picture, adheres it to a piece of plexiglass, then cuts the glass around the subject(s) in the picture, and mounts that cut out on a stand. It's almost 3D-ish. I took two different pictures (one from the Nude Tour I think - he's outside, wearing a black shirt and pants, black leather gloves, and some sort of colored scarf around his neck, and he's looking sort of sideways while having one hand on the microphone stand, and the other where he's in a red jump suit w/ his yellow guitar, outside, and is hopping up on one leg) from a calendar that a woman made the cut outs for me with. Those are the things that immediately come to mind. OH! I love Emancipation stuff, and I have the Emancipation mobile that hung in record stores. I had two but sent one to a friend that is now not a friend (also sent him a regular copy of Purple Rain....his FIRST ever vinyl...ungrateful f*cker.)

I'm not much of a collector, but I love my chain that I got at 21 Nights. I used to hang it from my rear-view mirror in my car until I saw they were selling for over £100 on e-bay! Now I have it on my keys.
I don't believe in putting things away to keep them nice....I like to see it every day.

A fan biography I did of Prince from 1995, including about 100 pages of his career with photos and shit, then 20 drawings of him in different outfilts from each year and lists of chart statistics and other little things of Prince, whats better is I have added to it over the years. I call "The History of the Sex Dwarf, cut out from a 1995 NME article and featuring on the cover a great picture of symbol playing his symbol guitar from a November 1994 issue of Guitar Player (I was 18 when I started this book) So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time

I have a lot of Prince collectables...too much. My collection started back in '81 and has grown since but one thing I kind of keep safe is an actual "" guitar pick I caught from the man himself at his B-Day show at Glam Slam Miami back in '95.
I also have a cool photo of him I took myself behind Glam Slam as well and a 1999 Remaster CD he gave out at Studio 54 Show in Las Vegas. I was in the front row and it was a fantatsic night! Dad. I wrote a very long post on Housequake reporting on the first aftershow of the Vegas 3121 run.
It got its own thread, which was nice, and then one of the man's folks got in touch to ask if they could use it for something - which was nicer - since it meant that the man had probably read and liked it. (Not that anything ever came of them asking). But perhaps even nicer was that this text was used as the liner notes for the bootleg that eventually came out. So, even though the CD was not one of the best produced I have ever seen, it was pretty damn cool to have my written description of the whole thing, including my fleeting conversation with the man himself, recorded there in black and white.
