I knew clicking on this thread would be a mistake... I was very young when I first got into Prince's music, and that was before most of you who've replied here were born...I feel old now

Wow amazed at how old some of you are. I was 10 when I got into Prince that was 26 year ago My daughter runs around dancing and singing to Prince and she is 2 but hell she also dances to Yo Gabba Gabba.

this tread is making me feel old.....

I became hooked when I was 15 (not a casual fan, but addicted), until I was 17 and discovered the Red Hot Chili Peppers as well, I listened to nothing but Prince). I even remember being told off in a Form 4 math class (Grade 9-10) for drawing a picture of Prince with his guitar saying "Cream" instead of a tetrahedron or some shit like that, and getting my only ever A in English for writing an expository essay about being at a Prince concert (Such lines, like "Prince whipped off his top to the thudding beat of the cymbals, he put it back on, the audience heaved a huge sigh of relief")
