The idea that Larry Graham "brainwashed" Prince is totally flawed.
First of all, any specualtion about what is going on in Prince's head is just that-speculation and made up fantasy bullshit. The truth is, we don't know Prince, but many around here (some frighteningly so) act like we do. Secondly, Prince is his own man, the boss, and is (always has been) running things. So, whatever the hell he is doing in his life is ultimately his choice...do you really think that Prince let's someone else exert any type of control over him? Prince is a control freak of the highest order. The idea that LG somehow manipulated Prince is ridiculous because that would mean that Prince never actually was this freedom fighting, free thinking, rebellious spirit, that you loved all along. Lastly, it's only music. Prince is not your best friend. If he makes a choice and your life is worse off for it, you better look in the mirror and get your stuff figured out. We all don't want the Prince that swears back. I, for one, am glad he doesn't swear anymore. He's just as good without it. Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for. |

Prince can make his own decisions. I am not mad at Larry Graham actually I am happy that he was there for Prince to help a brother out when he obviously needed spiritual guidance. The man had just lost his child and his marriage ended. So I'm glad that Larry gave a brother some insight. The person that I am mad at is the heffa Mani  for being an opportunistic bitch! I know Prince also did wrong, but she had a large hand in his marriage to Mayte' ending and then she pretended to be a JW to get closer to him. I don't see anything bad that Larry did... Larry Graham was/is a Jehovah Witness and converted Prince.... isn't that a bad thing? it is bad and sad, imo....

Well, given that many of his friends and former band mates jumped on the holy train and given that Prince is getting older, has lost so much over the past years, and also wouldn't look good coming out on stage with his formerly tight ass exposed, this change was inevitable. I also say that just because he changes his persona for the public doesn't mean that he's doing it at home. I think the Prince many people long for is still there but it's just no longer good business. Artist evolve, they have to in order to stay in the game they love so much. In short, Larry Graham is not blame for taking our Prince, he is to blame for conning Prince into thinking he's going to be one of the 144,000. | |
