Erotic City Instrumental Does an instrumental version of Erotic City exist ? | |

Yes. It's by George Clinton and is on the PCU film CD-Single Erotic City. The last track on it is "Erotic City (Super Groovestrumental)". To my knowledge, Prince performed/produced the tracks on this CD, unless someone knows otherwise. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |

I didn't know there was an instrumental version.
That was such a JAM GROOVE!!! Even without the lyrics... the beat and melody make it so danceable... it will get a party started. I can't understand why Prince won't play the INSTRUMENTAL version of EC. Sorta like linking to iTunes (though, I can't vouch for the above site's business practices of paying the artists). I think that you provided an imeem link of unauthorized streaming media. Prince doesn't want YouTube, imeem etc. to freely stream his music or videos, but there are legitimate sources to purchase his products. iTunes, Amazon, BestBuy and other similar sites are OK to link to. I don't think anyone intended to give you hell about posting the link. Prince fans have witnessed too many site get cease and desist letters from his lawyers, so they get protective of one of the last resources where you can discuss all things purple. I remember this. The samples kinda have a cheesy sound quality I bought the CD back in the day. It has that "mid-nineties" sound, but I still dig it. It's a good disc for giving your subwoofer stretch-marks. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |
