AS A MUSICIAN I HAD A TRACK UP ON MYSPACE .WHICH IN WHICH I SAMPLED A BIT OF THE MUSIC FROM ICE T'S ..THE COLDEST RAP .. WHICH WAS DONE BY PRINCE .. AN GUESS WHAT .. IT GOT TAKEN OFF .AN I GOT A WARNING AN HAD TO READ TERMS AN CONDITIONS ECT OR MY UPLOAD PRIVILEDGES WOULD BE REMOVED. EVEN THOUGHT I HAD MENTIONED ON PROFILE ABOUT THE SAMPLE ... AN IT WAS A TRIBUTE TO PRINCE
I AM A PRINCE FAN .. AN SOMETIMES WHEN I JAM ACCOUTIC I SING ODD PRINCE SONG .. I DID A GOOD ACCOUTIC VERSION OF STRAYES OF THE WORLD RECENTLY . MY GF SAID THAT IT SOUNDED AMAZING AN I SHOULD PUT IT UP ON YOUTUBE .. I SAID .. I DONT THINK SO LOL .. IT WILL BE REMOVED B4 I EVEN GET IT UP LOL
THERES LOADS OF GUYS AN GIRLS WHO WANNA COVER PRINCE SONGS AN DO THEM AS A TRIBUTE AN IN THERE OWN STYLE .. BUT OBVIOUSLY . THEY CANT GET ANY INTERNET EXPOSURE OF THERE TRIBUTES ...

HE MADE VERY WELL PRODUCED COLLECTION OF THE CLIPS.. EACH ABOUT 30 MINS LONG ... HE MUSTA SPENT MONTHS JUST SOLIDLY EDDITING AN TWEAKING THESE CREATIONS .. AN THEY WERE ALL A CELEBRATION OF PRINCE AN A WONDERFUL TRIBUTE .
.. I WOULD LOOK FORWARD TO WATCHING THESE COMPILATIONS HE COMPLILED AN THEY ALSO HAD ALOT OF CREATIVE IMPUT AN EDITING BY THE GUY .. HE WERENT JUST STICKING CLIPS TOGETHER ONE AFTER THE OTHER ECT ...ANYWAY NEEDLESS I AN MANY OTHER PRINCE FANS WOULD GO AN CHECK OUT HIS COMPILATIONS TO SEE ALL THIS WONDERFUL RARE PRINCE FOOTAGE . TV SPOTS ECT . SONG VIDS ECT .. HE MUSTA WORKED REALLY HARD PAYING TRIBUTE TO PRINCE .. AN PUT ONE OF THESE UP EACH MONTH .. ..
HE ALSO MADE SLIDE SHOWS .. HE WAS SERIOUSLY A DEVOTED FAN .

THE INTERNET IS VERY IMPORTANT NOWADAYS .... I FEEL THAT HE WILL BECOME A FORGOTTEN ARTIST IN THE NEXT 50 YEARS ... BECAUSE OF HIS STUPID CONTROLING ATTITUDE ... FANS DIE ...PRINCE DIES .. WHAT KEEPS THE MUSIC ALIVE??

Where there's a will, there's a way.

There are PLENTY of sites out there where you can listen to Prince songs and watch videos to your hearts content. Sites that haven't been shut down. For every one that gets shut down, more pop up. There's ONE incredible popular music streaming site that comes to mind where you can even listen to the new albums, watch their respective music videos, AND even hear an unreleased demo version of at least one song from MPLSOUND!

It's just a case of finding them, which isn't hard. It's just simple Google usage. It really blows my mind that there are so many people who spent vast quantities of time on the internet and yet seem to be unable to perform basic searching functions.

And while I get the point you are making about the female proteges, at least one of your example is pretty funny to me.....Prince wasn't even 2 years old when Tina Turner had her first chart hit.

You cant control the internet and that is a fact .....

I don't feel sorry for you. Sampling someone's music, even as a tribute to them, would get you in trouble with most musicians, not just Prince. Why didn't you pay to have the sample cleared? That's the way the music biz works.

For all the people out there that wonder why P is so touchy about his rights, this dude is EXHIBIT A. Some amateur douche-bag who thinks he has equal rights to Prince's work simply because he can upload it and play around with it in his home computer.
