Natasha

Are you talking about Sam PeckinPaw? " Straw Dogs" and didn't Vanity star alongside Roy Scheider and Ann-Margaret in 52 Pick-Up Directed by Sam PeckinPaw who is Very Violent in his Violent scenes? By the way Straw Dogs with Dustin Hoffman and Susan George is a Great movie.

I always thought the extended LRC was a bit scary: "...So you never forget!!"

I was listening to that this morning and thought the same thing!
Organgrinder, you're on point as usual. HOWEVER, the Lady Cab Driver thing...I've heard this from others, and I never heard it as a rape scene. It just sounds like sex to me. Is it just the aggressive tone that makes people characterize it as a rape thing? Now I can't listen to it without thinking about that! sad

straw dogs in a taxi cab.

There was an ugly rumor that at the end of that "rape" scene, he slits her throat. It hinged on the fact that at one point, there is a disgusting gurgling sound after he delivers all of his "strokes." Have you guys heard about this?

No, I haven't. But I guess then he dumps her body under the docks, and that's why you hear seagulls and water at the very end. evillol

And BTW, what the fuck does "straw dogs in a taxi cab" mean??

in the movie 'Straw Dogs' dustin Hoffman's wife played by Susan George is raped.this film has only just this year passed the Censors fully in Britain for a DVD release.

what always bothered the censors was Ms George's character is raped in the movie and there was some debate because it appeared she was enjoying it.

If Prince is indeed 'raping' the female character in LCD it sure sounds like she's enjoying it, hence 'Straw dogs in a taxi cab'.

Interesting, I've never heard that rumor before, nor have I ever heard a gurgling sound, I'll go listen to it now and see.

Just listened to it; I didn't hear any gurgling sound. I think it was just meant to be a regular "sex scene" in the song, if you listen closely you can hear Jill say "yes" too, and I don't think a rape victim would being saying "yes" while being raped, IMHO.

I think it's cool Jill says "Yes." I've never noticed that.
...As for the gurgling, bubbling sound, listen to it again. Though I'm certainly not claiming it's a simulated murder, I swear it's there... somewhere between where all the vocals end and the end of the song. I'll check the CD when I can and I'll even tell you the exact counter time.

When you listen to it please give me the counter time, I listened to it again I didn't hear any gurgling sound, I heard something in the background that sounded like seagulls, is that what you're talking about?
