He's played a banjo. Remember in GB movie when Morris and Jerome are having the money throwdown, that's Prince on the banjo. __________________________________________________

Umm... I remember Rhonda playing double bass on some songs, cant remember the names.
About the Oud or Ud: it is played on the titletrack of Around the World in a day, as listed in the liner notes. I am quite sure there is some Oboe to be found in Clare Fishers arrangements, wether its in on the Parade album or the Jill Jones album (Mia Bocca).

To ad:
Not officially confirmed in any way, but i swear I can hear mandoline playing in the background of the song Under the Cherry Moon. Oh, and when it comes to the 'accordian sound' on Do U lie, that comes from a so called Musette synthesizer.

[Edited 5/22/09 11:23am] Cheers for the music lesson but i am proficient on several instruments. Somebody mentioned that a double bass (see above ) was used on the recording i mentioned. It could have been a band member, perhaps even Prince himself.
