I agree, I don't think I've heard a rework of any of the pre1989 song that I prefer over the original. I love this song feels like static I could tell U things that get U excited I could play with your mind But U'd probably say that I was a liar So I won't waste your time I'm scared, cuz though we just met There's this energy between us Let's just go somewhere we can funk I could say I'm sorry all of my life But that wouldn't be true I only say and do the things that I do Cuz I'm not U I'm scared, cuz if I don't kiss ya I'm gonna go mad, baby Let's just go somewhere we can funk Ooh baby (We can funk) {x2} I could teach U things about your b-b-body, baby Things U never heard Ooh, U know the Kama Sutra, I could re-write it With half as many words Eric, come blow your horn [Edited 5/22/09 6:39am]

I listened to it the other night and I love it. It's a whole different style than the version on GB. To Sir, with Love

my favorite one is the ' 86 version.
his vocals are more prominent in the mix, especially when you listen to it with earbuds.

I think FUNK is only changed on the Graffiti Bridge rework. "Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" R.I.P. Prince You've finally found your way back home. Well Done.

People keep referring to the 1986 version as the original. You do know that the it was originally recorded in 1983, and it's that version that was re-worked for Graffiti Bridge, right?

I think there's 3 versions in total .... Well, if you include all the differnet edits and mixes, there's a lot more than that, but there are two basic recordings, the two I mentioned above.
