Prince and Maxell... I want a duet! Maxwell's new song "Pretty Wings" is the bomb! An absolute gem!
The video is smooth. He's a throwback to classic R&B... no tattoos... no grill... no bling bling... just pure vocal talent I WISH Prince would sing a duet with him. Pretty wings with the two of them singing would have been amazing. They compliment each other wonderfully! This is the only person out today that I would want to see Prince work with. I wish Prince would take Maxwell under his wings! The work they could produce would be AMAZING!!! The public is squeezin' you kiddo. You'd better kick ass on your next album or else!

It really would be amazing. I don't want it to be a "Prince production" though. You know how every Prince songs SOUNDS like a Prince song in some fashion. You just KNOW it's Prince, even if it doesn't sound like 1999 or something. It was the 80's where Prince could write a song for anyone fitting their style. But now.....it all sounds alike. It'd truly have to be a joint venture between the two, not just Maxwell singing over a Prince song as a duet.. Maybe Prince should do background vocals, sing over the bridge, and do a guitar solo. That would be better. I'm surprised no producer has ever tried to get these two people together on a stage at an award show for a special performance.

I don't think so. Of all the current r&b singers, Maxwell comes closet to Prince's vocal style, but I don't see him outsinging Prince. I don't really care if they duet together or not. I personally don't think it would be as great as some think. I would like for Prince to work with Van Hunt. Prince believes he is a musical prophet that has been chosen by Jehova to guide his fans to the "truth".

In terms of soul music, Maxwell and Saadiq could possibly provide Prince with some much needed inspiration for the future.

Fellas!
I'm not talkin' about a BROKEBACK duet! I'm not talking about Prince and Maxwell holding hands and singing "I Love U in Me" while gazing into each others eyes in the pale moonlight!! Dayummm!!! Let's grow up!! I'm talking about a love jam where Maxwell sings lead, and Prince sings background vocals, and then Prince takes over lead, and Maxwell sings background vocals... alternating throughout. Not something in harmony. The background vocals would perhaps be in falsetto. You can't TELL me that such a collaboration wouldn't have the potential to be legendary! I don't think it would ever happen. I can't see Prince singing on Maxwell's label where they wouldn't own the Master... and while I could see something on Prince's terms, I'm not sure that with Prince controlling everything, the song would flourish. But combining these two vocal talents could create a masterpiece of outrageous proportion. Hmmm... maybe if they remade Adore. lol Nahhh... that's BLASPHEMY... leave that song alone... but I would LOVE to see Maxwell do Adore in concert. He is perhaps the only man that could bring justice to it. Like I said... I WANT A PRINCE-MAXWELL duet slow jam! It would be off the hook. Period! i love Maxwell!! great artist, great voice
but dunno about the duet, maybe it would sound good. I know Maxwell appreciates Prince a lot and even said in an interview that people should go out and buy his new albums.

I'd actually be happy with Maxwell covering "Adore".

Voice and style, for sure. I could hear "Adore" on Urban Hang Suite or his Unplugged CD. And he would really change it up a bit, and have that organic sound he's known for. GOD that would be awesome. I just hope these 3 albums due over 09/10/11 are as good as they should be.

If Prince could put his ego on the back burner, a Raphael Saadiq co-produced Prince song or Album could be something special Dolphinking23

I'd rather have a duet with Prince and TDK. Andy is a four letter word.

Sadiq Luv his music but would pass on him doin that track(he doesn't like me)Anyway its obvious Maxwell channels Prince when I last saw him in concert. He stole so many moves from Prince. Crawling on the stage, licking his fingers doin the splits. But his voice is unique and amazing. I would put Maxwell & Prince up there with the sexiest ballads that make women wet. That would be the ultimate ballad the both of them together. [i] will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P.

Give me Prince with Tori Amos or PJ Harvey.

The new Maxwell single is just ok IMO
However a duet with these 2 would be cool but don't think it will happen anytime soon The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Perhaps something good could come out of that but I don't think Pretty Wings is all that good. He has a good voice, no doubt, and there might be better songs yet to see the light of day, but Pretty Wings doesn't do it for me.
