Instruments Prince hasn't recorded with yet.

Three instruments I can think of off the top of my head are:

1. The Accordian
2. Banjo
3. Auto harp

What other instruments has he not used yet?

Stand up bass

That Roger/Zapp vocoder tube thing you stick in your mouth and feed through a keyboard or guitar.

That surely is no mandolin, it sounds like a normal 12-string guitar.

Ihasn't there been any oboe in C.Fishcers arrangement? that would seem odd if not.

Wasn't the double bass used on the Exodus album?

The Moog was in the Rave DVD, and Renato has had a Moog close by. And didn't Prince play a Moog while soloing during "Come On" while on The Tonight Show ?

Perhaps, but the thread is about on record, so 2 speak, and I can't remember hearing one on any album.

Most definitely would be. I'm surprised he hasn't, being as fluid as both he and the Theramin R.

He's played a banjo. Remember in GB movie when Morris and Jerome are having the money throwdown, that's Prince on the banjo.

Umm... I remember Rhonda playing double bass on some songs, cant remember the names.

About the Oud or Ud: it is played on the titletrack of Around the World in a day, as listed in the liner notes.

I am quite sure there is some Oboe to be found in Clare Fishers arrangements, wether its in on the Parade album or the Jill Jones album (Mia Bocca).

To ad:

Not officially confirmed in any way, but i swear I can hear mandoline playing in the background of the song Under the Cherry Moon.

Oh, and when it comes to the 'accordian sound' on Do U lie, that comes from a so called Musette synthesizer.

Cheers for the music lesson but i am proficient on several instruments. Somebody mentioned that a double bass (see above lol ) was used on the recording i mentioned. It could have been a band member, perhaps even Prince himself.
