Setting aside that we all know Prince records the demo, so whether we've heard it or not, I'll assume you mean songs he's given to others and never officially released as his own.
"You're My Love", one of the best, simple, straight ahead pop efforts. "Manic Monday" "Sugar Walls" comes to mind. "The Sex of It" is a fun song, but I still like the SOTT rehearsals where they literally learn this song and work it out. The takes are great. | |

IMO, By far the best Prince song, not performed by Prince is:
Mia Bocca by Jill Jones Thanks a lot to Mia and especially Clare Fisher by deliviring such a gem. Other 'gems': Screams of Passion by the Family: with an arrangement like that, its quite easy to forgive the mediocre singing voices of St. Paul and Susannah... lol Manic Monday by the Bangles: maybe not necessarily 'their version' (a bit too polished and commercial for its own good), but with it they showed Prince is capable of writing the kind of classic 'perfect popsong' when he really tries (other examples: Raspberry Beret, All the midnights in the world). | |
