the chicago boot is much better performance overall especially on xenophobia at the end where maceo tears it up...najee sucks compared to maceo on the official at the end...listen to the chicago xenophobia then the official and tell me which is better?

That IS Maceo on Xenophobia on the official. This was from the Portland concert if I remember right from the booklet.

Yeah Najee was at the Indy show I'm not sure about which other ones he performed at but when they did the sax through the crowd I was looking for Maceo thinking he just didn't make it to the soundcheck, it was my third show by then, and Najee came out instead. He was cool and I actually like Najee but he couldn't do some of the Maceo like stuff but them playing around on The Other Side of the Pillow during soundcheck was just too tight.

IMO, the Chicago boot wins hands down! It's got more life and I think it's a better showcase of the ONA tour. I just think the boxset lacks the vibe the show had in person.

Although I haven't heard it in awhile, I remember the version of Anna Stesia on the Chicago boot giving me shivers, the one on ONAlive hardly does that for me.

There are some songs from Chicago that are better, but overall, ONA Live is an incredible collection of songs from the tour. The quality of sound makes it much better than that boot. I was at that concert (Chicago) and everytime I listen to it, it brings me back. 1+1+1is3 especially. Or Other side of the pillow: You're wearin' red. I know what you need. Greg come here with your plunger.

I've heard all the boots mentioned on this stream (I think), and over all I like the official box ten times better -- better sound, better packaging...and frankly I'm just thrilled Prince finally decided to release something live...I love it more than any of my concert boots, and I doubt i'll listen to my one nite boots again...nowe if only he'd release some other stuff, like the GOLD period -- love those above all other concerts. Hit and Run (2000) and Revolution stuff would be great too.

No complaints for me though, I bitched and moaned about the delivery for weeks -- but I'm thrilled by what i got, great live box!

The Chicago and New York boots are great to have because they are the one performance throughout. But the ONA Live box set is just increadable because of the sound itself. You can't beat that sound of the music coming through the speakers.

I attended both the DC shows and the Chicago shows.
It's funny for some reason I liked the DC shows better live but when I got both boots, I liked the Chicago one the best.
