His TRC album, since it was released after cut-off for this year's Grammy, is eligible for next year's Grammy...do you think he will garner any nominations for it?? Or maybe his One Night Alone album except I don't think that album was released commercially and was only available to NPG Club members...

No, I don't.

Grammy was suppose to be the "be all and end all" of awards, but in recent years, it comes across as having a lower standard.
Most of the people that give the awards are clueless.

Remember the '93 nominations for best hip hop?

It was like Snoop and all the great hip hop acts that are still in the game today. So who won? Digable Planets. Don't get me wrong, I got mad love for Digable Planets, but they were the one hit wonders of that year, by '95 they couldn't even get a record deal, and today, forget it.

TRC won't even get a nomination, mainly because the record companies push their artists (and probably a cash payment and a few lines of coke) on to the Grammy members. Prince has no backing like that

after Milli Vanneli Won that kinda showed the cracks in the Grammy's Tank IMHO.they have just started too Even out stuff with Rap&R&B but Remember when they were being Racist toward even showing who won in each Category&were Protested outside by some Artists.truth of the Matter I haven't been excited about the Grammys since Michael Jackson Won all those Awards.they had too give it up that year but they usually don't get it right IMHO.when Frank Siantra got Cut off for a Commerical Break during His Acceptence speech back in 93 I really lost Respect for them.also Michael Greene the Former Grammy Head was a Real Jerk&glad too see Him gone.Quincy Jones,Jimmy Jam are on the Grammy Board of some of the things that make Nominations.

Why are you hopeful?...This baffles me about some Prince admirers, they wish material worship on Prince so they can somehow feel better within themselves. It's human nature, but why do we do this with people we admire? Prince seems quite happy within himself at this point on his journey. He's got the money, why else would he continue to record and perform unless it was for reasons outside of fame, fortune, respect etc. Summing up: Prince receiving a Grammy is irrelevant, unless me, as a person needs that to happen to feel good within myself. Final point: I feel the exact way sometimes, but now I feel the need to question why I need these things??? HMMM

Trust me...Prince would still feel honored to receive a Grammy after all these years...
