First.

I have that poster matted & frames hanging above my washer & dryer. My washer & dryer room is the only place my wife would allow me to hang up music posters so every wall is full of music posters.

they all look horrible in that picture. each and every one of them
looks a lot better in most other pictures.

....that band was a train wreck. Nothing appealing about looking at them, what they played, and it was a damn Musackfest with them. For me, it was the worst band configuration he ever had. Blackwell looked like he was on crack. No one cared that Candy was back, and got tired of hearing "MACEO" every 3 seconds (it was like he was bragging he had Maceo rather than just letting the dude play). Who's the trombone guy? Renato? Pfft.

Musicology was a HUGE success, a come back and Prince's biggest tour ever, AFAIK, the #1 tour of 2004 according Rolling Stone Magazine, and maybe I will be unpopular now - and maybe you guys will ridicule me now:

but give me the Musicology tour anyday instead of the jazzy ONA 2002 tour, or the funk-light tour from 1998: NPS Tour, yes I said it loud, Musicology was entertaining, great band, one of the best ever, the acoustic set were incredible too, John Blackwell is one of the most skilled drummers, (besides Sheila E and Michael B.) - and yes I have a very weak spot for Candy Dulfer, I just her. She has been great, every appearance with Prince since the Partyman musicvideo,

I know the Musicology boots maybe sounds boring to some of you, but the videoclips I have seen are great.

The Musicology tour, certainly one of the most successful tours ever, and a great one imo.

I know money isn't everything, but still the Musicology tour was very impressive after all those years with Prince in the shadows:

ps. don't hate me now because I take musicology over the ONA tour.

I never said Musicology wasn't successful, I just hate the band configuration; (and I do hate the album, while recognizing the tour was successful).

Regarding the jazzy thing, while I agree, go listen to the way "Baby I'm A Star" is arranged on the Musicology Tour. Quite a bit of elevator fluff in that one. I couldn't watch it. Made me sick knowing how great that song is how it was it changed into some Glenn Miller outtake from 1936.

He coulda been in the Godfather on this one.
