Irresistible Bitch and Possessed - which version do you prefer?

Which version of Irresistible Bitch do you prefer, the official version (which is out there as a boot somewhere) or the remix that appears as the B-side of Let's Pretend We're Married?

Also, which version (instrumental or vocal) of Possessed do you prefer?

Possessed vocal definately, love it..this should have been released but perhaps it was too racy or spooky at the time.
I also love the drum/cymbal programming on this.

IB - Hard to choose, cant really remember what the outtake sounded like.

can't imagine a funkier version of Bitch out there other than the released b-side, arguably my all time fave.

Is it really a contest? The released IB is light years better than the demo.

Possessed vocal is far superior to the instrumental.

the unreleased version of Irresistible bitch works better as a continuation of the original version of feel up. as a stand alone it doesn't kick as hard as the released version.

possesed with vocals is superior than the instrumental take
man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Irresistible Bitch on the Hits is not a remix. It's an updated version from the 1981 unreleased version.
Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

I prefere the Bside Irresistable Bitch

The versions I've heard of Possessed are so different, it's like God the Love Theme & God the Dance Electric

I do think I prefer the vocal Possessed especially live

IB is by far superior. Its a true confession, gritty and unpretentious. Everyone has succumbed to an IB at least once and if you haven't ur about to. Such is life.

I prefer the original version of IB merged with Feel U Up (what a WONFERFUL transition), i just looove its electropunk sound. But despite my own taste i think that the final version is better, objectively.

I prefer the intrumental version of Possessed, it's very poetic.

The BBBBBiatch side. It's another dark funky track I like, it has a used condom feel to it like the album 1999.

I like the earlier version of Possessed but I'd also like to get the vocal take of the version in the movie.

I'd hope they'd put it on a remastered Purple Rain one day with all the other stuff.

Possessed (vocals)

Irresistible Bitch (released version)

I recently listened 2 the instrumental, and I like it better.

Two questions:

1. Was the earlier version of Feel U Up supposed to segue into Irresistible Bitch?

2. Is the unreleased version of Irresistible Bitch the original one and the released just a remix?

Oops, sorry, I have a third ?:

3. If the answer to ?no.2 is Yes; how do U know?

Thanks.

They're joined, so yes.

2. Is the unreleased version of Irresistible Bitch the original one and the released just a remix?
Yes it's the original, but no the released version isn't a remix, it's a re-recording, with a completely different vocal and less 'cold' musically.

Now that would be cool

Release all the songs in their extended form
along with the Bsides: Erotic City, 17 Days, God the Dance Electric
and: Lust U Always, God the Love Theme, Possessed(lyrical and instrumental)
Fathers song as a piano interlude between the Beautiful Ones & Computer Blue
the Vanit 6 version of Sex Shooter

That would be a hot little compilation

I actually know what you mean by dark funky ... and used condom

B side Irresistible Bitch feels just like that that bell sound/ring somehow adds to the dark feel
