The Music or the Money...a poll.... All squabbles aside.
Are you happy with paying in advance for the music? Or would you rather pay for a completed album that has been manufactured and ready to ship soon after they recieve your payment for it?

A completed album is the way to go. There are many ways for the club to do this, even with a prepayment. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Okay, that didn't make sense. Here's a part of my idea for "What I'd do with the Club":
Sign up for $100 and you get $100 to put towards NPGMC merchandise. Promise x number of CDs (lets say 2 CDs and 1 DVD for shits and giggles). Promise that these CDs will be available in Oct-Dec or something. Assuming one of these CDs would make it to retail, price that item accordingly, and mark-up the other CD/DVD and offer it on the Retail site only. This way, the music can be purchased by everybody at equal cost. Continue to promote added perks like the preferred seating and the aftershows and soundchecks, etc. Offer more interactive services, wallpapers, etc. Offer things EVERY MONTH for free that do not count towards the money available for merchandise. Things like Quicktime movs of unreleased video, MP3s of rare tunes, "Contest Songs", etc. MAKE PEOPLE WANT TO BE THERE EVERY MONTH. Hell, I'd have one contest song every 3 months. There has to be a reason for us to want to be there the whole way. The more money that Prince can get in his pocket in advance, the better. This way, he can afford to do things like release a CD to the masses and offer a CD and DVD geared towards the fans. That's just a small step, but a large enough step that would make people want to be a member happy, and people who want only the music happy. The business of the club should be a way to make money for Prince to invest in future endevors. The highlight of the club should be incentives offered to the members that make you want to invest in Prince early and often. . If the Club was ran by Dauphin, What would be the point of having a club(for Prince that is) Why would he just let you prepay for items and then give you free stuff, best seats at concerts, after shows, sound checks etc. Why?
Would Wal-Mart let you prepay and then give you free stuff just for prepaying? Would your Gas Card give you a free tune up just for owning a Gas Card? And because you paid in advance you get the best tickets at the concerts, Why would Prince do that, he is getting nothing out of it. He may as well sign with a label and let them take advantage of him. Membership costs something, I am a member at Sam's Club and I have to pay $35 a year just to be a member, nothing else is promised, they are not gonna send me a can of soup within the year, or give me ANYTHING. What I get is bulk savings, And Most of the things I don't buy anyway, but if I happen to like something I will buy it. Its all a gamble. It will benifit some more than others. I personally love the Club, I stood in line for 14 hours to get good seats to The Gold Concert in Hawaii, and was Number one in line and The best Seats I could get was 14th row. I was at the Box office at the Arena, (14th row). Now that I am a member, I just call in (couple of days) and pay with a credit card and I've got the best seats. No 14 hours of waiting in line to take a chance. I was at a Prince concert in S. Carolina and my date Fainted because of all the bodies pushing and trying to get closer to the stage. Had I had the front seats I would have been sitting pretty not knowing what was going on behind me. If I received no CD's this year It still would have been worth it, just being able to go to the celbration was worth the entry fee to the club. 7 nights of Prince for $250 thats 35 dollars a show. If he sold the nights separate, he could have charched 75 dollar a night and made twice the money, but he blessed his members. And I was one of them. well worth the money. How you gonna get my back when you fronting.

What is the point of paying for things that other people get at lesser prices.
There has to be incentive other than "I'm supporting Prince!" There will always be income from those people. The idea is to have a working business model that attracts new customers to help finance grander schemes. Prince cannot continue to tour internationaly without adaquade funding to invest. Prince should NEVER have to worry about the club other than "oh yeah, go ahead and drop that Cobo arena on them," or "yeah, that live version of Electric Intercourse would be great for Febuary." He shouldn't be hearing about "members are feeling ripped off, but they're just selfish, they don't understand what a great person like you is worth to the world. I wrote this commentary about it, whatcha think." jazzy328is said: If the Club was ran by Dauphin, What would be the point of having a club(for Prince that is) Why would he just let you prepay for items and then give you free stuff, best seats at concerts, after shows, sound checks etc. Why?
