It's well within the rules to talk about the live performance you've seen.

I don't even know what to say here, other than...U always know that no matter how kind Imago comes across...around the corner is something discusting...which does no justice to the gay men out there that have some privacy and class.

The year is 1983. The place in Minneapolis. It looks like it's at an arena of some sort. It's starts off dark with just the band on stage playing...then suddenly I heard Prince in the dark say, "Is everybody ready to work?" the crowd screams and yells but not loud enough for Prince because he then says, "I said, "Is everybody ready to work!" The crowd goes ape shit! Then Prince says, "Come on...LET'S WORK!!!"

The lights come up and there's Dez, Andre, Dr. Fink, Matt (I think) on the drums and Lisa...all going to work! As the groove begins, the spotlight hits Prince, who is on some sort of divider above the band. He's looking so very, very fine! He's rocking the long tight curled perm, the long purple trench coat with the silver studs on the shoulder, black tight pants that snap on the side and black heeled boots.

As the band rocks, Prince walks the divider toying with the crowd, throwing kisses and sexy poses here and there. Then he runs and jumps on this fireman's pole looking thing and spins around it as he slides down it. When he gets to the bottom of it, he puts his finger on his chin and looks around with that little coy ass grin like he doesn't know what he's going to do next. Then he leaps up and does a high jump off the drummer's platform and lands center stage right in front of his microphone and he starts singing...

Dance break...Andre, Prince and Dez strutting, kicking, legs cris-cross hopping, styling and profiling...sexiness oozing out of every single pore!

Prince grabs his mic and then really goes to work!!! Here is where I'll have to leave my little raving review because I simply can't keep my eyes off the screen long enough to describe it...just know the rest of it is fucking fabulous!!!

That's what Prince should be putting up on his damn website! He could get my 77.00 for the chance to see more of that in hi-res!!

This Triple-Threat show was great. 1983 Met Center, Bloomington, Minnesota. My wife was at that concert.

There's now a fucking IKEA where the Met Center used to be.

Get that "Homecoming" DVD if you get the chance. I think it's the only DVD that has all three sets. I picked mine up at a local recka stow for 20 bones. There's probably other ways to get it cheaper, but then it might be over compressed.

Ok, so I of course went to look for it but couldn't find it. Is it still there? I found a HOT 1981 performance though (shit quality unfortunately).

Oh and the song Let's Work, especially the 12' is sho nuff bangin'. The line "I'll fuck u in the cemetery, I don't care." When I was a kid, at that time, I thought that was the coolest thing I had ever heard anybody say in a song. EVER! Besides the title track, Let's Work is the best song on that album to me. Out here in So. Cali, in late 81, early 82, the top black radio station in So. Cal 1580 KDAY wore this song OUT! When the 12' was released, they played that too, editing out the curse words of course. This was ALWAYS a crowd favorite when I seen him on the Controversy & 1999 tours. Dez's guitar solo on this live was always entertaining. As some on here can certainly vouch for this: I always loved Dez. But there were times when I saw them live playing this song, during Dez's solo, I would be like "Damn...what song is Dez playing to?!" But yeah, DEFINATELY, Let's Work is an all time fave of mine from Prince. The Rude Boy days....there was nothing like it.
