Hell yeah he's hot and he's got a decent list of movies under his belt. I can't wait for the new Terminator! i agree. i'm ashamed to say that i try to buy all the dvd releases he's in
that man is super hot and he's a good actor too. beyond his appearance he's also the best batman up until this point imo. but that might also be because the last 2 batman movies were stylistically such an improvement. the feel of them and the atmosphere is so much more gritty and real. that, combined with bale in skintight rubber  i was nearly floating in
my seat in the theatre. that's all i'm saying.

I have a buddy who works in a video rental store. He likes to have fun with certain Bale fans. Every once in a while some young asshole guy will come in, and it's obvious he's a dick, and he's raving about how badass Bale was in Batman and American Psycho, and how fucking sweet Terminator's going to be. I think you guys know the type without my having to explain it much.
So my friend waits for these young, violent types and tells them if they're big fans of Christian Bale, they really should check out Velvet Goldmine. Tells them it also has Ewan McGregor, and has lots of actions and spectacle. [Edited 5/17/09 14:18pm] "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!" | |

I am a Batman nerd to the fullest (got into Prince because of Batman) and all I can say is that you are wrong. Claiming Michael Keaton is "the only true Batman" is as laughable as some claiming that Adam West is the only true Batman. Keaton was great as The Dark Knight, but he left much to be desired as Bruce Wayne. He was a bit too old for that stage of Batman's career, too brooding (Bruce is supposed to be a shallow playboy), and Keaton was too balding for my taste. Christian Bale is the perfect Batman/Bruce Wayne. The proof is in the pudding, The Dark Knight and Batman Begins have replaced 1989's Batman as the the definitive Batman films. Look at the reviews, the awards, and the box office. Don't get me wrong, I still love Burton's Batman,(especially the soundtrack) but Michael Keaton is NOT the "only true Batman".
