I was gonna add this to the "Your latest vinyl" thread but for some reason couldn't add a post to that topic so I'll put it here.
My latest 12" single is an E-bay win:

I was wondering on the value of the 12" picture discs.
I have some but specifically the odd shaped one with the boy holding on to the balloon, "Around the World In a Day?" I appreciate any and all responses. Thanks  There must be a reason why...

That would be the picture disc for "Paisley park". I'm thinking you could get $30.00 to $50.00 for it depending on the bidding war on E-bay. It also depends on if it is "tea staind" or not. Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for. |

newest addition. Got this from a seller on Gemm.com
The German 12" single for "Get wild". I had the Maxi single since it came out. I needed this one for a long time. It has "Beautiful girl" on the B-side". The cool thing about this record is that it plays from the inside out!!!!

I'm not sure about if yours would work. Some models of players had that thing where the needle automatically picks up near the end of the record. I own a Technics 1200 from when I used to use records with my DJ business. It plays it fine. I played this record just to watch. Strangest thing I've ever seen! Crazy thing is, the B-side is at 45 speed and plays the right way. The great thing is this record only cost me about $5.00 from a company on Gemm.com [Edited 6/10/09 19:11pm] Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for. |

I have the Dutch "Uptown" and "Controversy" coming to me from E-Bay wins. I also have the "Gotta stop (messin' about)" coming to me soon too from an internet purchase. I've never heard of a record that plays like that. Very cool. I've got an old punk rock record marketed as a "3-sided LP" with two separate grooves on the A-side. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |

A couple of new additions to my collection.
First, The Dutch 12" of "Uptown". I won this on E-Bay. I was a tad disappointed, I knew there was a little damage but it wasn't entirely clear how much. It's still better to have it damaged then not to have it at all. The vinyl itself is near mint. 
Next one is quite the opposite. I got this from an online store. I googled the name of the song and the record number and came up with a Dutch site. The picture for this record showed a little ring wear. The picture they used was obviously a stock photo because the record came to me with a near mint cover and near mint record!!! The UK 12" of "Gotta stop (messin' about)". I had the other "Face 12" " already. Now I have them both!!!  [Edited 6/19/09 7:26am] Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for. |

some nice collections, i only have a few framed silver discs that were presented to my dad for recognition of so many sales blah blah from warner bros, and the usual purple rain singles, 1999 etc, from that era.
